  1. Establishing shot/ extreme close up of woman putting on lipstick
  2. Close up shot of woman doing up her shoe
  3. Mid shot of couple performing with band in the background
  4. 360 to show distortion 
  5. The above will continue into the area where the couple are about to go out. (Mid shot)
  6. Long shot of couple outside having a fag
  7. Mid shot of someone approaching them
  8. Zoom in to them on the floor being beaten up
  9. Pan of the couple running away 
  10. Mid shot of them in an abandoned place, smoking and drinking to help them cope.
  11. Close up of their face to show their injuries
  12. Over the shoulder or mid shot of them talking to someone about their problems and what has happened.
  13. Cut to a close up of them with tape on their mouth to show they have no voice.
  14. Low angle? Shot of them to show their change in facial expressions
  15. Mid shot of them in a field/open space expressing their emotions
  16. Close up of one hugging the other from behind within the open space
  17. Long shot of them in the field/open space
  18. Overlay/flashbacks of the tape on their mouth
  19. Flashback of their injuries 
  20. Close up of one of the girls with injuries, with her finger on her mouth to show she has no voice.
  21. Cuts to their injuries again (while filming the injuries will be taken from different angles)

My shotlist contains only 32 shots however after amending my idea to just 1 person, I believe that there are many different shots that I will film to include within my music video to clearly represent the idea of 'freedom'.

Music Video Structure

Katy Perry- Roar   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CevxZvSJLk8 Music videos often contain a number of different elements: Performance, Narrative, Thematic, Symbolic. Performance- In Katy Perry's Roar video she is seen to appear performing in an unusual surrounding, which in this case is a jungle. The video contains many close ups of the artist and there is a particular visual style that seems to go with the artist which is her clothing. Katy is the figure of an erotic gaze, an object of male desire which is a voyeuristic gaze. Narrative- The video tells a story that is featured in the lyrics or is suggested by the lyrics. In this music video binary opposites are used to show the day vs the night. Also Todorov's narrative theory is shown in this music video as, at the beginning there is a clear equilibrium which clearly sets the scene with both male and female being in the frame, a disruption then occurs when the tiger comes on screen sweeping the male of his feet.
